Meet your hosts,

Tony + Danielle

Tony and Danielle fell in love with the quiet magic of the Umbria–Tuscany border and poured that love into restoring Casa Miedi, their nearly 300-year-old farmhouse. What they’ve created isn’t just a place to stay—it’s a place to slow down, savor, and experience Italy the way locals do.

Tony has spent years in the wine world, and nothing makes him happier than sharing what he knows in a way that feels relaxed and joyful. For him, wine isn’t meant to be complicated—it’s meant to be enjoyed. If a glass makes you smile, that’s the right one.

Danielle, a trained chef and pastry chef, finds her inspiration in cucina povera—Italy’s simple, heartfelt, home-style cooking. She loves taking seasonal ingredients, letting their flavors shine, and welcoming guests with breads, cakes, and jams fresh from the kitchen. Her passion for all things sweet began in America with celebration cakes and has blossomed here into a love for Italian baking and preserving.

Together, Tony and Danielle have created a warm, welcoming farmhouse where every moment invites you to slow down, taste something wonderful, and feel right at home.

"Passion led us here. Together we discovered this beautiful country, with its warm people and food deeply rooted in history and tradition."
