My inspiration for my landscape paintings is based on the tranquility and awe I feel in a particular place. My whimsical paintings are based on having fun with shapes and colors. I hope people can share in those feelings in viewing my work. Art and painting have always been a passion for me. My favorite class in school was undoubtably art. In my undergraduate major at UC was in fine art: painting and art history. When I took time out from university studies, in my twenties, I wandered around Europe for a year taking in all the wonderful art and architecture. I traveled from museum to museum and city to city spending most of my time in Italy. After Europe, I moved to Santa Monica, California for 17 years where I worked in art galleries and eventually, in the early 90’s, I began my own art consulting firm advising corporations, hospitals, designers and hotels in the selection of artwork for their facilities. When I returned to Cincinnati I earned a Masters degree in Art Education at UC. I taught art at the elementary level for nearly 20 years. I love spending time in my studio which is located in O’Bryonville a neighborhood in Cincinnati. My subject matter varies but landscapes are my favorite.
