Offering a unique and bespoke vacation experience, Tony and Danielle are the owners of Casa Miedi a delightful nearly 300 year old farmhouse nestled in the Umbrian/Tuscan borderlands in Italy. Together, they work to curate special experiences to connect you with the artisans of this unique area. Tony has worked in the wine business for many years and his excitement for sharing his passion for wines and the winemaking process are evident in his enthusiasm. Tony believes that wines are meant to be enjoyed, and not complicated. The process of choosing a wine is simple, it does not have to be expensive to be good. As long as you like it, that is what matters. Danielle is a trained chef and pastry chef and has a passion for simple, family style cooking. In Italy this style of cooking is referred to as “cucina povera” which literally means, poor kitchen and is about making great food with simple, yet high quality, and available ingredients. Using the freshest ingredients and allowing the flavors to shine on their own! Having worked as a pastry chef and growing a small business in America for baking celebration and wedding cakes, Danielle found a passion for all things sweet. She has grown that passion by learning the simple and delicate flavors of Italian baking and preserving fruits and making jams as well!
"Passion led us here. Together we discovered this beautiful country, with its warm people and food deeply rooted in history and tradition. 'A tavola non si invecchia ~ At the table with family and friends, you do not become old.' We look forward to sharing our table with you!"
